Bad Ideas - An Ongoing Experiment in Webcomickery

Well, I'm doing a little better on updating...kind of....did I mention I broke my shoulder? Well I did! So it's gravity's fault this time around......yeah.....that's it....

First of many BIs for 2007...

But wait, you say...how's that gonna work?? You only did like 2 in 2007! You've got some nerve, buddy!


I've decided that I've been holding myself to unrealistic expectitions...the new goal is one strip a week. I'd like to do more than that, and hopefully I will....but as long as I'm a workin' man, and I'm a member of my local Hell's Angels chapter, I think that one strip a week is a soild do-able goal. Hopefully, I won't be proven wrong as I am so often by that cruel mistress Fate. Not to mention her schnauzer Kismet.

Yappy little bastard.

I'll just ignore that it's been 700 years since I last put up a strip. I'm hoping to get back on a three a week schedule, we'll see how that works out.....

Yeah, long time between updates. Blame Blizzard. Must level up dwarf!

Today's strip stems from my utter hatred of people touching my computer screen. I can't work with a screen covered in oily fingerprints. I'm practically obsessive-compulsive about it....It seems to be really bad at various places I've worked in the past. People wanna come up and paw at your screen like a 5 year old. Gawd, I hate that!

I was in a conversation, and somehow the phrase "Grumpy Gospel" came up, so I decided to use it as a platform to complain about things that happen in my everyday life...and this one does...Everytime I go to the grocery, The next person in line begins inching their cart forward because they want checked out yesterday. It infuriates me. The last panel sums up my feelings best.

Seinfeld said it best - "People. They're the worst."

Inching ever closer to #200.....

I love it when I giggle throughout the making of a strip.


I also love it when a plan comes together.

Just a bit of silliness, really.

Not much to say, except the 4th panel my be the most puntastic thing I've ever done.

I'm not really sure what to say in the commentary for this one...my big storyline buildup to #200 just kinda fizzled....so I decided to ditch it.

I think that's the end of big long involved arcs for Bad Ideas...I'll still have stories, but they'll be kept to a 5 strip maximum. My one shot strips are funnier, IMO, and they'll fit in better with my hectic schedule.

I'll be dammed if I drop my Jazzercise class.

I'm fairly confident BI will get back on a semi-regular schedule now. I know I've said that before, but I've finally gotten to the bottom of my problems when it comes to following through with projects and life in general, so there should be a return to form for Chris and the gang.

The bottom of my problems as it turns out, is adult ADD, which seems to be an after effect of the stroke I had when i was 20. I'm currently beginning treatment, figuring out how much medication to take, finding new ways to do things, and it's remarkable how simple things are now that used to be so hard....but anyway, as I begin to make ADD my bitch, expect nothing but improvements for BI, especially when it comes to frequency of new strips...

Anyway, I'm back. although I never really left.

Whatever the hell that means.

Not much to say, other than the normal "I suck because I can't update regularly"...

I'm trying to get back to some sort of schedule, really I am. There just aren't enough hours in the day between work, and family hospitalizations (way ta go, Dad!) I'm sure life will settle down at some point and quit making me its butt monkey...

Long time no post. Hopefully I'm back on the horse, and regular updates shall resume.

And by "back on the horse" I mean in the swing of doing the strip, not doing drugs.

Besides, I'm more of a crack guy.

Thus, the storyline leading up to #200 begins.

I think I've finally figure out a lot of what's contributed to the slowdown in my strip output. It was the knowledge that this series of strips was coming, and what they really mean. These next strips are going to be incredibly difficult for me to do, the reasons of which will become readily apparent, with some reasons known only to me. I'll share those at the conclusion of the storyline.

The good news is that I may very well increase production because I just want to get this series of strips out of my head, done and behind me.

Sorry. I know it sounds like I'm rambling, but this'll all make sense by #200.

Thus endeth yet another storyline.

I'm not sure yet if we'll dive into the next storyline, which will lead up to #200.....I guess we'll see when we see.

Another long delay in between strips. Sorry 'bout that.

We have one strip left to go in this storyline, then the build up to the 200th Bad Ideas begins......

Which should be interesting to say the least, if what I have planned works out the way I envision.
